U.S. President Trump said Wednesday that negotiations on a trade agreement with China are progressing well and that he feels the negotiations will be successful.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported that China and the United States had tentatively set a timetable for the next round of trade negotiations and initially arranged a new round of face-to-face talks. Negotiators planned to hold signing ceremonies at the end of May or early June.
The Wall Street Journal quoted sources as saying that U.S. Trade Representative Letter Hitzer is tentatively scheduled to visit Beijing this week on April 29.
