During a visit to London on Monday, John Bolton, the US national security adviser, said the United States would enthusiastically support Britain's decision to withdraw from Europe without an agreement. Bolton's trip was intended to pacify Britain on Anglo-American relations.
Bolton told British Prime Minister Johnson that US President Trump hoped that Britain would successfully withdraw from the EU on October 31 and that the US would be ready to work quickly on the US-UK free trade agreement.
The deadlock between Britain and the European Union over the withdrawal agreement has led to the risk that Britain will withdraw without a formal transition period or a legal agreement covering trade, data transmission and border policy.
"If this is the decision of the British government, we will enthusiastically support it. That is the message I want to convey. We support you, we support you, "Bolton told reporters after the first day of the meeting.
Bolton's trip to London will take part in two days of talks, and he seeks to improve U.S. -British relations with Johnson. Previously, Trump's relationship with former British Prime Minister Theresa May had been tense at times.
