Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Wednesday that Japan hopes to lead a statement on the situation in Hong Kong in the group of seven (G7). Before that, China passed the new Hong Kong national security law.
Shinzo Abe told Congress that Japan has expressed concerns about the situation in Hong Kong and that the G7 has the responsibility to influence public opinion.
