The Confederation of British Industry said on Monday that British services had been the worst hit since the financial crisis of 2009 because of the "obvious negative impact" of the uncertainty of Britain's secession from Europe.
According to CBI, profits of business and professional services companies, such as accountants, lawyers and marketing companies, have declined most sharply in the past three months in six years and at the fastest rate in ten years.
Consumer-centric companies, benefiting from household income and job growth, also reported declining profits, most responsible for the prospects for business expansion beyond 2009.
